- סִיבּוֹלֶת, סִבּ׳f. (סָבַל; cmp. סִבְלוֹנוֹת) sending provisions for a common meal, picnic. Pes.89b אפי׳ חמשה ועשו ס׳ (Ms. O. repeatedly סבלונות, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 7) even (in ordinary cases) when five persons sent articles of food for a picnic; Tosef. ib. VII, 10 (Var. סבול, סיבלות); Y. ib. VIII, 36a סִינְבּוּל (with anorg. נ). Y.Maas. Sh. IV, 55b אני אומר סיבוליתוכ׳ I say (the inscriptions ‘in behalf of intimate) that they have arranged a picnic among themselves (and each marked his contribution).
